About Apex Respiratory

Apex Respiratory is an independent clinical learning and reference platform for respiratory therapy in the United States — built for RT students, new graduates, and licensed respiratory therapists. It combines interactive calculators, teaching guides, quick references, comparison charts, and board-style practice in one connected library.

What makes the content trustworthy

• Every calculator shows its formula with the result and ships with an automated test suite validating known input/output values before it goes live.
• Every clinical page cites its sources— numbered references drawn only from accepted sources: Egan’s Fundamentals of Respiratory Care, AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines, NBRC detailed content outlines, consensus guidelines (GOLD, GINA, NIH/ARDSnet, ATS/ERS, SCCM), and primary peer-reviewed literature. Blogs, forums, and aggregator sites are never used as sources.
• Bylines tell you who stands behind a page. Pages display their author, and — once a page has undergone clinical review — the named reviewer with credentials and the review date. Review dates are only set when a real review occurred; they are never backdated.

Editorial policy

Clinical pages are re-reviewed within 18 months or sooner when a governing guideline changes (GOLD and GINA publish annual updates; the NBRC revises its examination content outlines periodically). When an error is found, it is corrected on the page directly; materially significant corrections are noted on the page. To report an error, use the contact page — accuracy reports are prioritized over all other feedback.
